Valentine's Day: A History

Valentine's Day or Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14th. The day is most closely associated with the mutual exchange of love notes in the form of "valentines", and by presenting flowers, or offering confectionery.

My Valentine flowers and confectionary came in the form of a "little people schoolbus"! Thank you Grandma Jensen!

I experimented a bit myself with the gesture of making confections for my loved one's by making and frosting sugar cookies for my mom and dad! Thanks for the idea and supplies Grandma Powell!

You can tell by the look on mom's face how good it tastes!

The U.S. Greeting Card Association estimates that approximately one billion valentines are sent each year worldwide, making the day the second largest card-sending holiday of the year behind Christmas. The association estimates that women purchase approximately 85 percent of all valentines. Consider this my attempt at helping the boy's team by sending out this Valentine to all my friends and family!
Happy Valentine's Day

Guess what the Cat drug in?

Grandma is coming! No, the cat didn't drag her in, but I knew that title might catch your attention, and get you to read my column!

Grandma Jensen is coming to my house for the week, and I am excited to see her, and show her all my new toys since the last time she was in town.

Here we are, reading each other nursery rhymes!

Love you Grandma. Thanks for coming to visit me!
