Training Day

Today is training day! We are getting dad in shape for the big backpack trip that the youth group is taking to Montana this summer, so we went hiking on the North shore of lake Whatcom. We had a nice day with a beautiful view of the lake, and we got up high enough that we could see out over Bellingham Bay into the San Juans!

I was pack weight to give dad a sense of hiking with a pack. :)

Work it... move it... let's get this train going!

Oh how sweet to be the one getting carried.

I just can't help laughing!

We all stopped for a break...

Lucky for me, mom brought a bag of baby trail mix so I could keep up the energy for our hike!

A nice view of lake Whatcom.

To Pooped to Party

I was having too much fun today to even think about taking a morning nap. Before you knew it, I fell asleep at the wheel, and even left mouth drool on the playchair! It has been a big week this week with a lot of firsts... I have my first two bottom front teeth coming in, and I rolled over off my belly to my back this week! Yep, big kid. I earned this little cat nap.

Dirty Dan Harris

The first thing that I need to tell you this week is that I am now big enough to sit in a big kid chair at the dinner table. No, I don't get to eat real food yet, but I get to pretend that I am sitting at the dinner table for dinner with the rest of the family.

On Friday, we met Grandma and Grandpa at the Harris Ave. Cafe in Old Fairhaven. After breakfast, Dad, Grandpa and I got our pictures taken with Dirty Dan Harris himself.

Growing...growing...growing into some new clothes. Here is the fleece jacket that Grandma Jensen got for me before I was born, and my boating hat for this summer!

Speaking of boating...look at all the sailboats that we saw in Bellingham harbor as we were walking around after breakfast. I love this place!

Beaver Believer

My dad took the Sr. High youth group from church to Oregon State University this weekend for a campus tour, and to learn about Lutheran Campus Ministry at Oregon State. He brought me back this cool sweatshirt, so I can show off to Tiari how big of a fan I am!

Finn the Flower Farmer

Skagit Valley Tulip Fetsival 2007
We went to the tulip festival in Mount Vernon this afternoon. It was the first opportunity for me to start honing in my green thumb. Grandpa Kenny came down with us, and we both had on flannel shirts, so it was fun for us to hang out together. That is what us farm boys do!

Windmill shot

Here was my most favorite spot, where we decided to tiptoe through the .... ah, you probably heard that before.

Flannel brothers

Here we are.... the fam.

The tulip stems are taller than I am.

Sleepy eyes at the end of the afternoon.

And my best picture of the day... King Finn of the flower patch!

I saw the Easter Bunny!

Yesterday I went to the mall, and I got to see the Easter Bunny! My mom has a funny story to share: As we were waiting in line to get my picture taken, the bunny was looking at us from across the counter, and the bunny started playing charades with us to get a message across. Bunny's can't talk, so the bunny gave us hand gestures and arm motions to try and tell us that Mr. Man had spit up going down the front of my face, and that we should clean it up. It was a fun game of chardes bunny...Thanks!

Finnegan... Easter 2007

After bunny charades, mom and dad got to take pictures with the bunny and I!

Just hanging out, chillin' on bunny's lap and checking people out at the mall.

Finnegan Fun Time

I am really starting to become a big kid now. Lately I have learned the art of blowing my lips together, and belly giggling. I can't quite perform on request yet, but have fun surprising family and friends on occasion. Here are some fun pictures from the week!

Family walk down to the marina. This is the happy Finnegan!

And this is what it looks like when I stick out my bottom lip and alert the parents that I am about to fuss.

Cousin Caitlin! Check out her SWEET glasses! I am going to repair my spectacles with lego's someday too.

Aunt Mandy and I... look how fun.

Bath time. Not to brag, but look at that big toe!

Cousin Amy... she is about to graduate from Eastlake. How cool is that?
