Holden Village

My dad had a retreat for youth ministry leaders that was at Holden Village this week, and he got to bring mom and Finn along for fun! Holden Village is a retreat center in the middle of the Cascade mountains that you can only get to by boating up Lake Chelan, and then taking a fun bus ride up into the mountain village.

Dad, Mom and Finn, Melinda, Leena, Kirsten, Janet, Jan and Ben. This is the gang!

This here is the boat that I am going to catch that will take me a couple hours up beautiful Lake Chelan! Finn's first boat ride.

Having fun in the dining room with Jan.

Kirsten and I telling stories after dinner.

Snow everywhere! Lots of it. This is how the Frog man gets around with lots of snow on the ground. I actually got to bob sled for the first time today as well, but our camera ran out of batteries, so we will update the bobsledding pictures when we get our hands on them. All I have to say is watch out winter olympics 2010!

We even found time to read books before bedtime.

Here is a good picture to show you how much snow has collected over the winter at Holden.

Smiling with Ben, Melinda and Leena.

This is the bus that we get to ride in. On the way up the mountain, the bus driver had to stop and get out to cut a tree down that had fallen across the road. We all got to help carry the pieces of wood to the side of the road so that the bus could get through. Maybe there will be more fun like that on the way back down. Holden was a lot of fun! Thanks everyone.

Leavenworth

This week, I am traveling again with my parents! My dad has a retreat up at Holden Village, and so the family is pretty excited to hang out in the mountains for a few days... anyway, we got to spend a day in a fun little "Bavarian" town called Leavenworth on our way to Eastern Washington. Everyone builds their business around the lederhosen theme, and people come from miles around to do the polka and eat brats with kraut. Here are some fun pics of the Jensen's playing tourist!

No - not the Statue of Liberty, this is me, Finn, dressed up to stay warm while we walk around town. My mom tells me that this is the latest in contemporary fashion... but I am not too sure!

Here I am again, modeling the star shaped frisbee my mom dressed me in. :) I love you mom.

We found a walking path along the Wenatchee river, and toodled around town.

This picture was taken downtown, where you can see the Bavarian store fronts. This is a wood toy store, where my parents found a cool sailboat puzzle made from wood blocks. Just wait until I get my hands on that.

After we got back to the hotel, mom and I got to read a book together.

Smith's

Today my mom took me over to visit Myra, Logan and Cameo. We had a great time hanging out, and those two kids were so nice! Last time we were at the Smith's house, we were celebrating Cameo's 1st birthday... which was a lot of fun... I will be 1 someday, and I will get to put my hands in a birthday cake and rub it everywhere, and that will be cool.

Hugs from Logan, and gazing at Cameo.

I can tell that Logan is a good big sister.

Thanks for playing with me, I had a lot of fun.

Scott

Mom and Dad had their friend Scott over for dinner, and to meet Mr. Finnegan on Thursday. It sure was nice to meet you. Sorry I had to go to bed, because I was full of smiles when you were holding me.

Play Time

I have just been a bundle of smiles lately, and have been having fun playing with Grandma while she has ben out visiting the last two weeks. Each day brings a new adventure.

Dad put me on his shoulders for the first time... I am thinking that this will be a fast future way of ground transportation for the Frog Man.

Aunt Mandy and I.

Thanks for playing with me Grandma, and teaching me all of your fun songs like where is Thumpkin, and Bushel and a Peck! I am singing them again right now.

Here I am looking at the baby in the mirror. That baby comes to visit every once in a while, and I just have the best time talking to him.

Have a good weekend.
