Bakersfield, CA

Yesterday was a hard day for my family. My Aunt Angela passed away on Christmas day, and we made our way to California so that we could be with our family for the funeral. It was a beautiful day, and there were a lot of people at the funeral. My Aunt Angela must have been a pretty special person to so many people. I was so happy that I could meet many friends and family members.

Bath Time

After the diaper changing incident, it was time to take a bath. Just this morning my cord fell off, so I get to take a bath whenever I want to now.

Grandma Jensen getting me ready for the bath.

Here is dad giving me a scrub-scrub. Mom was the rinser.

Getting the back side and behind the ears.

I don't think that there was a spot that they missed.

And here I am getting dried off and ready to have more fun. I really like bath time.

Grandma's Hands

Grandma Jensen found out first hand how dangerous it can be to change a diaper. I got her good. Love you Grandma.

It Takes a Village

The next day, we had lots of family coming by to say hi. There were hands everywhere. I had a fun time getting to meet everybody at Grandma & Grandpa's.

Merry Christmas

After everyone had a chance to say hello to Finnegan and explore Uncle Jim and Aunt Julie's new house, we sat down for a big ham dinner with all the trimmings.

Here is a picture of all the cousins together with Grandpa and Grandma Jensen.

All the parents thought it was a great idea, and they wanted to get a family picture with Grandpa and Grandma too.

After picture taking, we got to open presents. Man, my family loves me so much. I got lots of fun clothes, and a book, and a fun teddy bear named Teddy Jr, named after my cousin Jessica's bear. Thank you!

We Made It!

On Christmas Eve, I got to meet my Grandpa & Grandma Jensen! We were very excited to be in Montana for Christmas, and it is super sweet to be held by my grandparents. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for making this night extra special. I love you.

Pit Stop

We made it safely into Ritzville, and we all stayed nice and warm and had a good dinner, while Uncle Ty drove through the night to put a new alternator in our truck. Us guys got to working on the truck at about 4:30 in the morning, we made a quick starbuck's run and we were back on the road. Thank you so much Uncle Ty! Below is my first picture with Uncle Ty at the Best Western.

Once we crossed into Montana, we made a quick stop at a rest area to take care of business. My dad made some snowballs and cleaned the grime off the windows because the window washer fluid froze up. Grandpa Kenny's highlight was dad teaching him how loud a sound snowballs make when they hit an outhouse.

To Grandma & Grandpa's House We Go

Today is ROAD TRIP DAY! We are getting in the car and going over the mountains and through the woods to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's house for Christmas! This trip is a lot of first's for Mr. Finnegan, and I can't wait to share them with you! As you can see by the picture above, this is my very first snow experience on the outside, and it is way cool stuff. Dad said that when I am old enough, he will teach me how to write my name in the snow!

We stopped at a rest stop in Leavenworth, so we could all stretch our legs, and fill up on coffee. It was also a good chance for dad to change my extra FULL diaper that I had been working on in the car, and mom topped off my belly. Here is a picture of dad and Stella playing in the snow.

Grandpa & Grandma Powell took Stella for a walk to let her take care of business of her own. I think that they liked playing in the snow too.

Here is a picture of mom and I, staying warm in the truck.

And how cool was this tractor! It made the snow in the parking lot disappear, and sent it way up in the sky.

Today wasn't all bells and whistle's though. We got to another rest stop outside of Moses Lake, and Dad said that the truck was broken down! All the power went out in the truck, and we had to have a friendly farmer that happened to be driving by give us a jump so that we could make it to this rest area and get off the interstate. This is a picture of the family staying warm in the truck while the AAA tow truck arrives to take us into Ritzville. We were going to stay in a hotel in Coeur D'Alene, ID. tonight, but we aren't going to be that lucky. It is just a crazy coincidence that we are traveling on a holiday, and it isn't that easy to get truck parts on demand. All of the truck part stores are closing down in Eastern, WA. Lucky for us we have family! My dad called and talked with Uncle Ty in Billings, and he was able to get an alternator that we need, and Uncle Ty is going to drive through the night and help my dad fix the truck so that we can keep on the road tomorrow. All in all, we are still smiling, and we are having fun on my very first time staying over night in a hotel. Mom says that this is Stella's first time staying in a hotel too!

Here is a picture of towtruck guy putting our truck on. It has been a day of seeing a lot of SWEET trucks.

This is a picture of dad putting my car seat into the towtruck. Yep, we get to ride in the big red truck... but not Stella, she has to ride in our truck.

It has been a great day with a lot of first's. Now we are in our hotel room in Ritzville. My dad and mom said that I have been a very good baby all day today, and that we will look back at this trip for many more years to come and tell stories about all of the things that happened. But, right now I am getting sleepy and ready for bed. We will see you tomorrow Grandpa and Grandma Jensen.... Here we come!

Finn's Friends

Today, we took a trip out and about to go and visit my Dad's work. We met some fun friends and got to take a picture with Mary Pat and Patrick. It was a fun road trip for the afternoon.

When we got home, some more friends came by to visit. These pictures are with Stacey and Pat. Thanks for everything!

Pre-Merry Christmas

On Saturday morning, I get to go on my first vacation to visit Grandpa and Grandma Jensen, and my Aunts, Uncles, and cousins in Montana. So last night we got to celebrate Christmas early at our house! Here are some pictures.

Before we got to open presents, I had to sit patiently at the table while Dad & Mom and my Granparents enjoyed prime rib with all the trimmings. After dinnner was finished, I took a nap while everyone worked to get the dishes cleaned up.

Here is a picture of my mom holding in me in front of all the loot that I scored this year. I got some toys, some clothes, a book that I can read with Dad, a blanket to roll out on the floor and play on, and my very first music cd that we are going to listen to in the truck on the way to Montana. Thanks for the presents!

Here is Grandpa and Grandma Powell standing in front of the Christmas tree.

Stella had a good time too... here is a picture of my dog protecting all of her new toys that she got for Christmas.
